Schedulers

A scheduler is a public booking page. Each one has its own URL, its own duration, and its own rules. Most people start with a single "30 minute meeting" — but you can run a dozen if you need (intro calls, demos, 1:1s, etc).

Basic info

Name

Shown on the booking page header. Make it specific — bookers should know what they're scheduling.

URL slug

The unique bit of the URL. Pick something short and memorable like 30min or demo. Can't be changed after creation.

Description

Optional. Shown under the title on the public page. Use it to set expectations, link a doc, etc.

Time settings

Duration

How long the meeting is. Common values: 15, 30, 45, 60. Slots on the booker side are generated at this length.

Buffer (min)

Empty time held before each meeting. 5–15 minutes is typical — gives you a moment to gather notes before a call.

Cooldown (min)

Empty time held after each meeting. Useful if you take notes, switch context, or just need breathing room.

Min notice (hr)

How far in advance someone has to book. 4 hours is the default — bumps to 24 if you want to protect mornings.

Max horizon (days)

How far into the future people can book. 30 days is default. Raise it for long lead-time events; lower it if your calendar shifts a lot.

Timezone

Set to your own timezone. Bookers see slots in their local timezone — chosencal handles the conversion automatically. If you travel often, set this to your home timezone and forget it.

Meeting link

Three options:

  • No meeting link — for in-person, phone, or you'll add a link manually.
  • Google Meet — auto-creates a Meet link with each booking. Requires a Google calendar.
  • Microsoft Teams — auto-creates a Teams meeting. Requires an Outlook calendar.

Working hours

For each day of the week, set the time window you're available. Default is 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Days with no hours are blocked entirely (you can't be booked on a Sunday unless you add hours to Sunday).

Tip: you can have multiple windows per day. Set 9–12 and 2–5 if you want to block out lunch.

Preferred times (Coincide)

On top of working hours, mark windows you actively prefer. When another chosencal user books with you, these times get a bonus in ranking. Read more in Coincide & preferred times.

Sharing your scheduler

After saving, the scheduler page has a Share panel with two options:

  • Public link — anyone with the URL can book. Reusable.
  • One-time invite link — single-use, expires after 14 days. Good for sending to one specific person.

Enable / disable

A disabled scheduler shows a "not accepting bookings" page instead of slots. Useful when you want to pause without deleting the URL.

Editing & deleting

All settings except the URL slug are editable any time from the scheduler page. Existing bookings are unaffected by edits. To delete a scheduler, scroll to the bottom of its edit page — existing bookings keep working but the URL stops accepting new ones.
