Bookings

How the booking flow looks from both sides — yours and the person booking time with you.

What the booker sees

They open your link and get a clean page with:

  • Your name + meeting title + duration.
  • A calendar with available dates highlighted.
  • Time slots in their local timezone, generated from your working hours minus your busy events minus buffer/cooldown.
  • A short form: name, email, and an optional note.

What happens when they confirm

  • The event lands on your main calendar with the booker as an attendee.
  • It mirrors out to every other connected calendar as a busy block.
  • If you picked Google Meet or Teams as the meeting type, the link is auto-created and added to the event.
  • The booker gets a confirmation email with the event details and a manage link.
  • You get a notification (and, for some setups, a confirmation email too).

The manage link

Every confirmation email contains a unique, signed link the booker can use to reschedule or cancel the meeting without needing to sign up for an account. It looks like chosencal.com/manage/<token> and works until the meeting ends.

Rescheduling

Booker opens the manage link → picks a new slot → confirms. The old slot is freed, the new event takes its place, and both sides get an update email with the new time.

Cancelling

Same place. The event is removed from your calendar and the booker gets a cancellation email.

On your side

Recent bookings show up on each scheduler's edit page so you can see who's booked recently. Your full upcoming list is on /bookings. You can cancel a booking from there too — the booker gets a cancellation email.

One-time invite links

Generated from the scheduler page. Single-use, expires after 14 days. Use these when you want to send the link to one specific person — once they book, the link stops working.
