Calendars

chosencal works with every calendar you have. Connect as many as you want — your main calendar always stays in sync with the others.

Supported providers

  • Google Calendar — any @gmail or Google Workspace account.
  • Microsoft Outlook — personal @outlook/@hotmail/@live and any Microsoft 365 work account.
  • CalDAV — Titan, Fastmail, Apple iCloud, Zimbra, and any standards-compliant CalDAV server.

Connecting a calendar

Open Calendars and click Add account. Pick the provider, sign in, and approve calendar access. We auto-detect every calendar in that account and add them all.

For CalDAV: you'll need the server URL, your username, and either your password or an app-specific password. (Titan example: https://caldav.titan.email).

Main calendar vs. source calendars

Your main calendar is where bookings land and where every other calendar mirrors its busy time. The first calendar you connect becomes the main one automatically; you can change it later from the Calendars page.

Every other calendar is a source — chosencal reads busy times from it and writes a hidden "busy block" onto your main calendar so bookers never see those slots as free.

Privacy: what bookers see

By default, bookers only see that you're busy at a given time, never what the meeting is. Event titles and details from your other calendars are never exposed.

You can also choose per-source privacy: hide an entire calendar from the busy calculation if you want to keep certain commitments private from your booking availability.

Disconnecting

Open the calendar on the Calendars page and click Disconnect. We immediately revoke our access token, stop syncing, and remove the busy blocks we created on your main calendar. Your real events are untouched.

How often does it sync?

Every 20 seconds. Google calendars also push us a live notification when something changes, so most updates land in 1–2 seconds.
